Capturing the imagination and calling attention to a home’s qualities…that is what model home merchandising is all about. Any room can be involved; bonus rooms become theatres or game rooms, bedrooms get warmth and drama, and perhaps a theme. Uninspiring powder baths can come alive with a soft tropical in any color, and laundry rooms have a little fun.

“I’ve been doing murals and decorative painting in Orlando and Central Florida homes and businesses for over 20 years. Styles and colors go through changes, but certain themes remain timeless. It’s largely a matter of brushes, paints, and ladders, of “homework” and preparation; none of that has changed at all. Each job, whether it is a many tiered project involving several rooms or one very special nursery is important to me. In each case, it is my hope to get it right.

After a phone conversation, I usually like to see the space, discuss our goals and ideas and will be able to estimate the job. I am accustomed to working within budgets and schedules and find it usually works out amazingly well for everyone concerned.

Kay Story has been working with me on numerous projects for more than 15 years. Our styles are complementary, and we share a desire to create a beautiful space that exceeds our clients’ expectations. Many of the photos here show her wonderful work.

I hope you enjoy the sampling shown here. Paint is a wonderful thing; it can create a mood, define a space, add a warm detail or wrap an entire room. We are the brushes, and you can provide the inspiration!”

Pediatric Offices

Pediatric offices can be a little dull, but not these. Juli and Kay have painted Florida wildlife, gardens, and all manner of jungle animals, large and small. They have painted exam rooms with scenes of other countries, and scenes of children enjoying parks, reading in a shady gazebo, and gliding in hot air balloons.
